A difficult but rewarding project – this home had astounding coastal views but significant design challenges due to the 80’s style. The project involved minor floorplan adjustments including the removal of some walls and changing doorway and window positions to create a better flow and to capitalise on the outlook. Whilst the structural changes were minor, the interiors were completely redone from installation of blackbutt timber flooring through to new kitchen and bathrooms.
Significant work was carried out on the exterior of the home in order to enhance the appearance – the dark brown bricks were rendered over and a colourbond roof replaced the unsightly blue tiles. A colour scheme using ‘Donkey Grey’, ‘Grey Pepper and ‘Sediment’ from the Porter’s fine stone paint range was chosen.
